The Gaming and Betting industry has been in existence since 1962 and has played a pivotal role in the country's socio-economic environment. The industry helps to subsidise the income of the average Sierra Leonean and provide revenue for the Government.

The industry is regulated by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
