Executive summary
As a member of BDO’s Global Leadership team Niek is responsible for coordinating the activities of the BDO global organisation on a day to day basis, with specific responsibility for the growth and the development of the global tax business.
Before joining BDO International as a Global Head of Tax in 2025, Niek worked at BDO The Netherlands where he joined in 1997. Rising to Partner and Head of Tax and Legal, under his leadership, the Amstelveen tax practice has doubled its size and became the largest practice in the firm. Niek has served as a valued member of the BDO Global Tax Committee since 2020 and was the founder of the BDO Centre of Excellence for EU Tax Law.
